WHAT WE THINK

Author of original content: Dr Damian Roland

When I was asked to write for The Edge I remembered a blog I read several weeks ago that had made a strong impression on me. This blog had inspired and given me much food for thought about the power and potential of social media to help clinicians and patients and to inspire and shape change in health.

What is fantastic about this blog is that it shares inspiring and moving examples of how clinicians and patients are using on-line communities in different ways to connect, share, educate, learn and inspire. This is powerful and inspiring stuff.

The blog has a great take away message too – that there is much that clinicians and patients can learn from each other about on-line and digital communities. By sharing the learning and collaboration they will bring health benefits to both.
