Making history – Welcome to the first NHS 24 hour online event for connection, learning and change

27.01.2016

16:00 - 17:15 GMT

Description

Welcome to the NHS Transformathon! Helen Bevan and Alison Cameron will provide a whistle-stop tour of what to expect over the next 24 hours and how to join in. We will visit the local teams around the country that are trialling new change methods (hacks and hackathons) to bring about improvements in local and national priorities in a parallel process over the next 24 hours. Helen will talk about the new generation of change approaches and methods that are being adopted by other industries across the globe and which are starting to permeate health and care. Gill Phillips will give a case study of #MatExp, a virtual, viral social movement of activists in maternity care who are driving big improvements. Alison will discuss radical changes and the shift in power in the role of patients, service users and families in the transformation of healthcare.
