WHAT WE THINK

This short article highlights the part social media is playing in health and social care.  Alison Diana considers a range of social networks that work for clinicians and patients.

Networks/digital communities are fascinating as they tend to be self-organising around a key sense of shared purpose and are one of the ways that people become better informed and contribute resources.

In the 21st century people are less likely to accept the status quo and by joining together via social media they can make a difference.
